Before she made her live singing debut on Wednesday's CMAs, Gwyneth Paltrow took some advice from her experienced friends.
"I kind of asked my girl singer friends [for advice]," she told Access Hollywood before belting out the title track to her new drama, Country Strong. "I asked Faith [Hill] a lot of questions -- and Beyonce, actually, too."
She said she "studied" Beyonce's past live performances to see how she exudes "confidence" on stage.
Said Paltrow, 37, "I'm lucky that I know some singers in real life."
Her performance was well-received. Miranda Lambert said she did "a great job ... it was awesome. She has a great voice."
"She looked like she's been doing this her whole life... when did she find time to go out and learn how to be a singer? I'm floored!" so said Entertainer of The Year recipient (CMAs co-host) Brad Paisley.
