Singer-actress Mai Selim has turned down a role in upcoming television series "El-Aar", which is based on the same-titled movie that was released in 1982.
“Mai was nominated to portray Nour El-Leil, which was played by Elham Shahine in the movie, but she didn’t accept the part because she wants her debut television role to be different,” Mai’s rep Hisham Amin said in a press release.
In the series, the story will be pretty much the same as the movie, except the three brothers won't lose their fortune because they failed to store the drugs. Instead, the drug deal will work out and the drama shows how their lives go on after that.
